Carpet stretching is a procedure used when the carpet has become wrinkled or has buckled, or simply appears loose. The furniture is removed from the room, the carpet is then taken off of the tack strip on one side of the room. Multiple power stretchers are used to stretch the carpet from one side of the room to the other. This pulls the wrinkles flat. The carpet is then tucked in and trimmed to fit on the opposite side of the room.
